Don't ask about the title. it just sounded great and I went with it.

I had an angiogram yesterday, which was actually really cool. See they make an incision on your groin, tap into an artery, insert a catheter, thread it up to your kidneys, then insert dye in them and take pictures.

Well I was scared because I didn't know how much it'd hurt and I've never had a surgery so I've never been sedated and didn't know how I'd react. But I met the doctors beforehand and felt a little better, they were cool. So anyway, I get into the procedure room in my skirt thing (they pretty much shame you by lifting it for the whole room to see) and they put the sedative in your IV, which is supposed to make you drowsey. Except I really didn't get drowsey. Like if I closed my eyes, I could feel myself dosing off, but if I kept them open, I was fine. Not really tired, just spacey. Yet really cognitive. If you asked me questions about something, I could have answered them. I figure it's probably because I'm used to being tired and doing stuff. During school last year I never really slept much before class and work, going at one time for a stretch of like...3 weeks on 2 hours of sleep a night plus a nap every so often.

Anyway, then they numb your groin. Then they ask if it hurts when they begin the incision. it did, so they added more numbing. Then they went to work. I got to watch the x-rays and catheter being inserted on a TV which was awesome, and they talked to me the entire time. Although, the end hurts like HELL. Seriously. I've done a lot of stuff to myself on accident. I've burnt myself at work. Cut myself on things. Ran into things. A lot. And I might have saif ow, but it was more a reaction than a truth. This time, I actually cried out in pain. See, since they tap an artery, it can bleed...a lot. So they insert a plug right into it. And that hurts. Alot.

So I went back to a room, slept on and off for 4 hours before they let me go. I almost passed out when I could stand up because I pretty much stood up and walked around, which isn't smart after 4 hours of sleep and lying still.

It's kinda sore when I move or put pressure on the muscles around where they did it, but a lot less sore than it was last night. I came home and slept the rest of the day away, which is why I wasn't around. Also, I checked and I believe I've already grown new skin over my plug. You can barely see where they did it except for a faint circle.

So yeah. Way cool, and I feel better about the surgery.

I'm kinda tired now though again, so I'll be heading back to sleep soon. I did start a new Michael story though. And I'm happy. My last story got 11 views so far. That's the most a story of mine's gotten. So here's hoping for more!
